Time doesn't fly, it flows

I was going to say "time flies" when I saw how long it's been since I posted, but I realized something a week ago that makes that phrase incorrect.

Time doesn't fly. It passes slowly and mostly we don't pay attention or notice it. When we do notice Time it's been a while since we last paid attention so the interval seems to have gone by quickly. But if you pay attention, if you are mindful, you can observe Time passing minute by minute. This slow river carries us towards ... something. It's important to watch time passing. There is much lovely scenery to be seen if you look closely.

So the next time you get up, sit quietly for a minute and watch Time passing. Then ask, "Whose time are you wasting?"
